Job summary

An exciting opportunity is available within the Digital Health Team for a Digital Nurse to join the team on a 6 month secondment. The post holder will work on their own initiative in the Digital Specialist Nurse Team supporting high quality and effective digital transformation within the organisation, specifically the delivery of training and development.

Main duties of the job

Provide senior support to junior members of the Digital Health Team including appraisals etc.

Act as an expert resource for all care groups in any aspect of the Digital Nurse Service including digital solutions and escalate appropriately an in a timely manner any concerns raised to the Senior Nurse

Job description

Job responsibilities

In conjunction with the Digital Health Team and liaising with other stakeholders such as Training and Development, lead the production of training needs analysis for digital solutions including the Electronic Patient Record (EPR).

Responsible for development and delivery of high quality training programmes to staff to ensure high standards of care are provided to patients. This may involve delivering training in patient areas and therefore sensitivity will be required towards patients.

Plan and prepare for assessment and training sessions, ensuring at all times that the training objectives are met.

Plan and prioritise work to prescribed deadlines.

To participate in audit and service improvement activities as part of the wider Digital Heath Team work in relation to training and development of CDDFT staff.

Propose changes to policies/procedure that have impact on Care Croups and other Corporate Services in relation to digital solutions.

Ensure any appropriate databases/spreadsheets/trackers are maintained.

Provide and present reports on activity as requested.

Work on own initiative, escalate issues and report progress as required.

Use excellent organisational skills and use own initiative to co-ordinate, plan and organise a wide range of training activities to achieve training and development of digital solutions with minimal supervision.

To be aware of resource constraints and the importance of working within budget.
