The Chief Clinical Information Officer CCIO provides
senior clinical leadership for digital transformation at County Durham and
Darlington NHS Foundation Trust. Acting as the bridge between clinicians and
digital teams, the CCIO ensures the Electronic Patient Record (Oracle Health
Millennium) and other systems are co-designed, clinically safe, and deliver
better patient outcomes, safety, and staff experience.
This is a pivotal opportunity to shape the
Trusts digital future, with a decade-long EPR partnership and a bold digital
strategy aligned with What Good Looks Like, Anologue to Digital. You will
influence and support the delivery of the digital strategy, champion clinical
engagement and digital literacy, and lead innovations that improve care quality
and sustainability, supported by a strong culture of research, innovation, and
professional development.
Main duties of the job
The CCIO will lead and champion clinical digital
transformation across the Trust. They will-
Work closely with clinicians, the CIO and CNIO to shape and
deliver the Trusts Digital Strategy and EPR roadmap.
Ensure digital systems are designed and used to support
safe, effective and sustainable care.
Act as the key link between clinical services and digital
teams, capturing clinical needs and translating them into practical digital
solutions.
Promote clinical engagement and digital literacy across all
staff groups.
Oversee clinical safety for digital change, identifying
risks and ensuring national standards and regulatory requirements are met.
Provide visible leadership, supporting testing,
workflow design and training as a senior clinical advocate for digital
innovation.
