We
have an exciting opportunity to recruit a band 3 Personalised Care Support
Officer to join our small and friendly team within Cancer Services. This
exciting role will work across County Durham and Darlington and will support
the teams that deliver cancer information, education and personalised care and
support to people affected by cancer.
You will have a flexible
and positive outlook and will require good interpersonal and communication
skills. You will underpin the
development of personalised care in cancer through the provision of
administrative support across our team.

Main duties of the job
The post-holder will provide a range of
functions to support the Macmillan Personalised Care, Cancer Education and
Macmillan Information and Support teams including data audit, data reporting,
minute taking, delivering cancer awareness activities and providing information
and support to people visiting the Macmillan Information and Support Centres.
Some specific tasks may include maintenance of the intranet site, coordination
and production of a regular newsletter, planning and organising education and other
events, and gathering patient experience feedback.

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.
