The Digital Health Team at County Durham and
Darlington NHS Foundation Trust are
excited to offer a Digital Nurse Specialist secondmnet for 6 months to
cover maternity leave . To support the Senior Digital Specialist Nurse in the
development, implementation and management of digital projects across the
trust. The Digital Specialist Nurse Service are a dedicated team who provide a
robust service actively managing the electronic patient record (EPR) with a key
responsibility for delivering training to all staff. A candidate working in the
community setting with knowledge of SystmOne would be encouraged to apply to
fufil our future ambitions with the digital agenda for Nursing. As we move
through the digital age in healthcare the successful post holder will have an
active involvement in future digital projects and EPR developments as
identified by the trust in line with its evolving clinical and quality
strategy. The Digital Specialist Nurse will also help guide and manage other
members of the Digital Specialist Nurse Service.
Main duties of the job
Participate
in the design and implementation of future developments of the trusts EPR as
delegated by the Senior Digital Nurse
Provide daily at the elbow
support across the organisation to all clinicians to support the use of digital
solutions at CDDFT
Work directly under the
Senior Digital Nurse and Digital Midwife firstly then in partnership with the
wider members of the Digital Specialist Nurse Service to ensure the service is
joined up, well-structured and robust
Actively contribute to the
development of projects as directed by the Senior Digital Nurse but also
encourage innovation by sharing any key areas of potential development with the
Senior Digital Nurse & Digital Matron as required
Identify, escalate and
proactively manage any risks associated with any digital project by working
closely with the Clinical Safety Matron & wider Digital Health Team
Provide senior support to
junior members of the Digital Health Team including appraisals etc.
Act
as an expert resource for all care groups in any aspect of the Digital Nurse
Service including digital solutions and escalate appropriately an in a timely
manner any concerns raised to the Senior Nurse
