This is an exciting time to join Acute & Emergency Care
at Darlington Memorial Hospital as we continue to improve the process and
experience for patients who are admitted to Hospital in an emergency. We are
seeking to appoint Health Care Assisitants to join our Acute Medical Unit.

pace,enjoy working collaboratively then working as part of our Acute Medical
Unit multidisciplinary team may be the job for you. It would place you as a
member of a committed, caring and compassionate team, who are supportive and
knowledgeable about their specialty.
You will work closely with our experienced and friendly
multi disciplinary team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the medical
emergency patients care, providing first line treatment. This rapid plan of
care enables 40 percent of admissions to be discharged home from the AMU.

we are looking to recruit a number of enthusiastic, dynamic and highly
motivated Health Care Asssitants to join our team.
Main duties of the job
You will be required to assist qualified nursing staff in
providing direct patient care. You must be able to work effectively as part of
a team as well as being able to use your own initiative when required.
As you will be expected to deal with staff, patients and
relatives on a daily basis as well as recording routine clinical observations,
the successful applicant will be able demonstrate excellent communication
skills, both written and verbal.

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.
