Job summary
Clinical administration is a key function in the management
and day to day functionality of the countywide adult bladder and bowel team and
the patients they care for. The purpose
of this role is to work with and support the adult bladder and bowel team with
their clinical administration functions associated with the management of patients;
accepting incoming tasks / emails and referrals to the team, setting up clinic
ledgers and making amendments as needed.
The combined population of the area in County Durham and
Darlington covered is approximately 600,000 population.
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for the accepting and completing of
electronic tasks with the help of the nursing staff as required.
Work with both SystmOne and an online ordering system to
contribute to patient care.
Carry out administrative and housekeeping tasks to support
the service and patient care.
Support Lead nurses with Home Delivery Service receipting
and monitoring of invoices / budget.
Complete Cardea ordering and monitor budget accordingly.
Participate and provide training around the electronic
patient management system and functioning of the team in their area.
Provide and receive routine information requiring tact or
persuasive skills
Provide and receive complex or sensitive information,
dealing with and understanding behaviours.
Provide advice, instruction or
training to the team

We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.
