Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to support the new Lung Cancer Screening Programme (LCS) in County Durham. The purpose of the programme is to enable the early detection of lung cancer in order to save lives.

This role is to arrange appointments for the Targeted Lung Health Check.

Interviews will be held on the 27th June 2025

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for contacting patients to arrange an appointment via letter or telephone, ensuring that all appointments are booked in accordance within TLHC timescales and manage administrative tasks associated with appointments booked via the TLHC administrative system.

You may also book review appointments via Worklists and as requested via proforma.

There is also a requirement to take calls from TLHC participants, dealing with appointment queries or documenting messages for the clinical team.

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.
