Maternity Support Worker - ANTENATAL CLINIC

Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for driven and motivated Maternity Care Assistants to join our Maternity Team working in the Antenatal Clinic Outpatients unit at our Darlington site.

You will be supported and welcomed into your role and we are keen to develop our staff to deliver exceptional care to the families of County Durham and Darlington.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a enthusiastic and hard working Maternity Support Worker who is committed and passionate in providing care during pregnancy, birth and postnatally in a hospital setting. This important role will include caring for women, birthing people and their families throughout the antenatal and postnatal period and will include working alongside the midwifery team to provide education, support and care to mums and babies in the Antenatal Clinic setting. Safety of our women and babies is paramount, and so we are looking for caring, compassionate, and enthusiastic staff members to join our Team.

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.
