Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Staff Nurse at Darlington Memorial Hospital. The post will be based in the Cardiac Day Unit and will give the successful candidate the opportunity to develop both knowledge and skills, caring for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional Caridology procedures.

The area is innovative and challenging and gives a great opportunity for you to join a highly skilled, dynamic and friendly multidisciplinary team.

Main duties of the job

The Unit prides itself on delivering the highest standards of nursing care. The successful candidate will assist Medical Staff in the lab with patients who are undergoing interventional and diagnostic procedures, e.g Pacemaker insertion, Angiography, Dobutamine Stress Echo and also provide both pre and post procedure care.

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.
