An
exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join the existing
Chemotherapy Day Unit team across Durham and Shotley Bridge. The day units
pride themselves on delivering the highest standards of nursing care treating
patients with a wide range of haematology and oncology malignancies and
conditions. This nurse led unit is both innovative and challenging and gives a
great opportunity for you to join a highly skilled, dynamic and friendly
multidisciplinary team.
Main duties of the job
Cannulation and phlebotomy skills
Holistic and toxicity assessments
Administeration of SACT and supportive therapies
Effective communication skills
Liaising with the wider MD

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham.
