Job description

Job responsibilities

Were looking for compassionate, ambitious, and progressive people to join our team. With so many opportunities for self-development and progression, we need people who want to learn and inspire others. People who have a voice and want to use it to drive positive change. People who love a challenge and want to be part of transformation.

We are really excited about the opportunity to invite enthusiastic, dedicated and compassionate NQM's to apply to join our midwifery team at CDDFT and support us in delivering outstanding intrapartum, antenatal and postnatal care to the women and birthing people using our service. We are looking for midwives keen to start their career in a busy and fast paced environment, which provides maternity care to a varied and complex community of women and birthing people. The NQM role is primarily based within the labour ward to consolidate your skills as a new career midwife. However we also offer rotation to the antenatal and postnatal ward settings, Triage unit and community teams. We are very keen to support our new career midwives in an area they are comfortable in, to develop their skills as part of our established and caring team.

In return, we offer a bespoke preceptorship training and development programme, whilst also recognising the value of prior learning and experience you bring to our service. You will be well supported with a personalised induction and training package by members of our dedicated Practice Development Team, who will ensure your support as you transition to your new role both professionally and personally. You will also be able to access personalised, pastoral care via our specialist workforce experience teams, including our established PMA service.

Our new career midwives are supported and encouraged to seek educational opportunities to further their Continuing Professional Development and career progression. We are a trust which actively supports and encourages lifelong learning and development and we are very keen to support you to achieve your full potential with us. Youll receive excellent guidance and support from us as an organisation, but also from some of the most experienced and dedicated members of our Maternity Services team. From there, youll have the power to take your career down any branch or specialism of midwifery that inspires you.

We are very proud of our maternity staff here at CDDFT and we are sure this is a role that you will both enjoy and thrive in as a valuable part of our maternity services improvement journey. You are very welcome to contact our Recruitment Lead directly to discuss any queries informally.

We look forward to hearing from you.
