Job summary

The Senior Tendering and Business Development Manager will work directly to the Head of Major Projects and Quality Improvement within the Project Management Office (PMO). Working closely with both the Senior Quality Improvement Manager and the Senior Programme Manager, the role will be responsible for the effective and efficient coordination and oversight of the CDDFT Tendering and Business Development opportunities that emerge throughout each year.

Main duties of the job

The scope of the role covers the Tendering and Business Development agenda for the full Trust (where a formal service procurement process is being followed) specifically in terms of appropriately designing and effectively delivering a robust and comprehensive internal process for timely tender compliance requirements, meeting strict time and quality standards.

The role will provide extensive high level Tendering expertise with appropriate management support given to business functions throughout CDDFT where a formal tendering process is being applied.

The post holder will be expected to communicate closely and effectively with Trust Board members, Executive Directors, Clinical Directors, Lead Clinicians, Care Group and other Service Managers and throughout all remaining levels of the organisation. The post holder will represent the Tendering and Business Development functions of the PMO at sub committees of the Trust as well as meeting with and working alongside external organisations as and when required.

We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.
