you! We have a vacancy for an enthusiastic and motivated midwife to join our
Antenatal Clinic team here at CDDFT. We are searching for a committed, dynamic
and reliable midwife to join our team, working in our antenatal clinic sites in
Darlington and Bishop Auckland.
You will join a warm and supportive team of
midwives who truly care about patient experience. We welcome applications from experienced
midwives who are currently registered to work in the UK. You will be supported
and welcomed to the trust with a bespoke training package through which we will
support you to settle into your new role and join us in delivering exceptional
care to the families of County Durham and Darlington.
Main duties of the job
You will work within the antenatal clinics at our sites in
Darlington and Bishop Auckland. You will work closely with our
multi-disciplinary team of professionals supporting consultant clinics and
undertaking midwifery led tasks within the departments. You will provide a high
standard of clinical care to birthing people and be responsible for the
assessment, evaluation and implementation of high risk care pathways.
Some of your daily duties will be:
Ensure the smooth coordination of the antenatal clinic
department
Provide specialist expertise to patients in the antenatal
period delivering high quality, evidence based care
Provide support to the medical team and other members of the
multi-disciplinary team within the antenatal clinic setting
Planning, delivering
and evaluating standards of evidence-based midwifery care
Identifying and caring for women with more complex
pregnancies
Effectively communicate information regarding clinical
decisions, policy and care pathways to patients/carers and the
multi-professional team.

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.
