Job summary
The purpose of this role is to participate in the implementation, management and training of Health Informatics solutions to clinical staff in relation to Digital and mobile technology including the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) to support improvements in patient safety and quality within County Durham & Darlington NHS Foundation Trust. Main duties of the job
Support the Digital Specialist Nurse Service in the delivery of the service and to fully participate in the implementation, management and training of electronic solutions within digital health. The role of this job will heavily feature the delivery of EPR training both formally and at the elbow across the organisation from classroom based to on the ward supporting clinicians.
To use specialist clinical knowledge of clinical processes to deliver a multitude of education packages across the Trust at all sites in relation to the electronic patient record both electronically or face to face. This role will cover all aspects of the EPR following the patient journey from birth to death. We require individuals from a wide range of backgrounds who have a keen interest in supporting the organisation with digital solutions. An interest in a particular aspect of the EPR would be welcomed, for example, knowledge of the Accident and Emergency EPR, Ward based EPR or specialist such as Maternity or Paediatrics. Will provide a professional advice in relation to the solutions used across the organisation through at the elbow support and respond to any requests for assistance.

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.
