Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Systems Development Manager to join the NHS North East and Yorkshire Leadership Academy Team. The post-holder will be responsible for corporate activities including business management and planning, performance, communications and budget management plus co-ordinate system leadership interventions

Main duties of the job

This role will provide business management support contributing to the implementation of the North East and Yorkshire Leadership Academy vision and successful achievement of annual business objectives and service level agreement.

The post holder will have responsibility for assigned aspects of business planning, performance, communication and business management, and to lead in these areas, ensuring implementation and achievement of national and local policies.

This role also offers the opportunity to make a positive contribution to the work of the North East and Yorkshire Leadership Academy, and successfully manage system leadership development interventions independently, deciding how best to achieve agreed, stated outcomes across a diverse portfolio of work

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.

  • Further training or significant experience in project management, financial management or supporting change management processes.

  • Qualification in coaching / psychometric testing and feedback

  • Demonstrable specialist knowledge in a relevant discipline
  • Experience of managing a team.
  • Significant experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment.
