We are looking for a dynamic nurse to support an expansion of the clinical advisory team based along side the community equipment service (Medequip). The primary focus for the posts will be to clinically review care home residents and their equipment to support effective use of the equipment service, manage care home long term loan equipment and support development of community equipment prescription pathways

Main duties of the job

As a member of the organisation the post holder will work within the newly expanded clinical advisory team supporting the established Clinical Equipment advisor and the commissioning team managing the equipment services contract. The post holder will be able to independently manage their own caseload and have the opportunity to work at base and remotely dependent on duties.

The role will primarily focus on clinically reviewing care home residents to ensure the equipment provided from the community equipment service is being used appropriately and is traceable

Opportunities to:

- Expand knowledge of community equipment and have clinical input into the equipment catalogue choices

- Develop links with commissioning

- Be involved with developing equipment prescription pathways

-Lead and participate in peer support and in service training

-Work within a dynamic Multi-Disciplinary Team

The successful applicant would work Monday to Friday in the community equipment service.
