Up to 7 sessions per week, part time Specialty Doctor(s) are required to join our
friendly and enthusiastic team supporting the delivery of Oral and
Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) based at Darlington Memorial Hospital. Applicants
should have previous experience in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery and
dento-alveolar surgery.
The role will encompass new and review outpatient
consultation clinics, oral surgery and soft tissue biopsies under LA as well as
Day Case General Anaesthesia.
The successful applicant will be joining a well-established,
high quality Oral Surgery service with an opportunity to further their career

Main duties of the job
Out-patients a service is provided for new patients
referred to the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Service and for review
patients.
Treatment
under local anaesthetic, surgery under general anaesthetic and management of
internal referrals from other departments including the Emergency Department
and ENT.
Participation
in medical audit, continuing professional development, administration of the
department and teaching are all expected
There will be opportunities to rotate working
days to give more exposure to wider range of procedures and clinics
