Were looking for an enthusiastic apprentice to join our small, dynamic team responsible for providing a professional Skills Development Network for the North East and North Cumbria.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of this role are to help the department provide an excellent training and development service, so that means helping get everything ready for our events and conferences, and helping to make sure everything runs smoothly on the day.

A major part of this role will be helping manage our social media accounts and making sure all of our communications are professional and enagaging.

The department has a number of different email accounts all of which need to be monitored and messages professionally and courteously replied to.

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.

To undertake, initially under supervision with training in place to support you :

Administrative tasks including data input and keeping records up to date.

Preparation, planning and publicity for the NHS Skills Development Network events, including meetings and other leadership development.

Where appropriate to assist in diary, calendar and event management, including typing and preparation of meeting documentation & minutes, preparation and circulation of agenda, and liasion with stakeholders regarding calendar arrangements.

Acting as a point of contact for course attendees, giving professional assistance with a high level of customer focus.

To produce delegate lists using our online booking system, and maintaining up to date attendance records, as directed.

To request and help collate delegate feedback

To deal with queries, both via email or by telephone, and pass these on to the relevant person.

To assist the wider team a directed by the line manager.

To maintain all filing systems and electronic records in line with the organisations policies and procedures.

To assist with the management and creation of LinkedIn posts to raise awareness of the network, special interest groups, courses and conferences .
