Charity Manager will deliver the Trusts Charity strategy by leading and
increasing fundraising activity and connections across the organisation and
local communities. We are seeking an

Main duties of the job
To meet or exceed an annual fundraising target for the
Charity
Lead the preparation and planning of both large and small
fundraising campaigns some of which are long term and ongoing.
Continue to run an annual programme of challenge events, run
by third parties, to attract community and staff fundraisers
To establish and significantly increase our grateful patient
programme
To deliver and be accountable for the charity strategy while
developing plans to increase brand awareness and maximise engagement
opportunities
To work closely with Trust staff to produce high quality and
compelling requests for support from the charitable funds committee
To create and deliver an annual volunteer recruitment plan
and to manage an annual programme of fundraising and community-led events
Retain any current donors and work to proactively identify
and approach new supporters, building and supporting networks of community
fundraisers
Keep up-to-date with best practice in the sector
Ensure all marketing and communication activity is in line
with Trust brand and values
To set up and maintain an effective database of
supporters that is compliant with all relevant data protection.

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.

- Recognised fundraising qualification level or signficant experience/training equivalent
Desirable
- Membership of professional body or organisation

- Willingness to work flexibly to meet the needs of the organisation
- Able to travel independently across sites to meet the requirements of the post.
