The Health Informatics Portfolio Management
Office (PMO) are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic, and well organised person to
provide support to the Project Manager on the replacement of the Trusts new
PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System).
Main duties of the job
As
Project Support Officer you will work as part of the project team assisting
with project governance and coordinating reporting of the project to the
Project Board. You will assist in the smooth running of the project from
initiation throughout the lifecycle of the project ensuring key deliverables
and milestones are achieved using best practice project methodology.
The post holder will
provide facilitation and maintenance of key project documentation such as the
project delivery plan and other key project controls (e.g. Risk and Issue logs,
Benefits Realisation and Lessons Learned).
The post holder will also
contribute to building relationships with key stakeholders and provide
administrative support at key governance groups. This will include coordination
of agendas and papers, taking and distributing minutes, coordinating actions
arising from meetings and ensuring that the appropriate follow up occurs.
The successful candidate
will be an excellent written and verbal communicator, and have advance skills
in the use of key Microsoft Office Packages, such as excel and MS Project.

- Educated to degree level or equivalent in relevant subject or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in specialist area.
Desirable
- One or more of the following:
- PRINCE2 (Foundation)
- Managing Successful Programmes (Foundation)
- P30 Foundation and/or recognised industry equivalent qualification (experience within areas outlined will also be considered)
Special Skills and Knowledge
Essential
- Standard keyboard skills; use of MS Office Suite; Work; Excel; PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
