Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to support a key project for our Pathology services. County Durham and Darlington Pathology service is part of a regional procurement and installation of a new Laboratory Information Management System. We are looking for an experienced administration assistant who has previous experience of providing administration support to a multi- Trust pathology LIMS project.

The successful candidate will work as an integral part of the LIMS project team to ensure smooth, efficient running of the project. You will provide minute taking services, assist in the preparation of material for meetings, type reports, SOPs, and other documentation as directed by the team members, ensuring that reports are sent to the relevant stakeholders in a timely manner. The post-holder will provide information to other healthcare professionals on request. These activities involve frequent, daily utilization of Microsoft Office programs and the Q-Pulse quality management system.

The post holder is also responsible for dealing with telephone, email and personal enquiries from other stakeholders in relation to the project

Main duties of the job

Handle telephone enquiries

Dispatch relevant information and updates to those authorised to receive them

Collect and document data relating to LIMS project

Error logging

Perform simple audits as required for the LIMS project

ensure project papers are ready, including highlight reports, to ensure the smooth and effective provision of reporting requirements

Liaise regularly with relevant stakeholders to obtain information and where necessary chase up any outstanding reports not received

Maintain TEAMS channel filing system as directed by the project manager

We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.

Experience working in this specific type of project is essential. Minutes, agendas, meeting invites, logging of documents and supporting project controls are all essential components of the post.
