Job summary

We are looking for a confident organised person to join our small but perfectly formed team, based out of Lanchester Road Hospital in Durham. We provide training events and conferences for finance, procurement and digital teams across the north east and North Cumbria and we need your help to make sure that all of these events run smoothly.

We currently run four conferences, and arrange over 70 individual days of training, reaching over 1500 delegates every year.

We are looking for someone to be the main point of contact for our events, liaising with delegates, venues, speakers, trainers and sponsors to make sure that everything runs as smoothly as it possibly can.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will ensure that our events and conferences run to the highest professional standard, ensuring that all registered delegates have their pre event information in a timely manner and ensuring that all of our other stakeholders such as venues, sponsors and speakers have everything they need in a timely manner.

The post holder will identify and liaise with potential sponsors to ensure that we have the income to support our conferences.

We'll need the post holder to provide marketing support using appropriate social media.

We'll also need our electronic training records kept up to date so that we have everything to hand.

You will need to work flexibly around our business needs, sometimes involving early mornings and evenings.

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.

This means being the first point of contact for our events so we'll need you to ensure that you respond to all queries in a timely fashion, and in a professional manner.

When our delegates register on our events website, you'll make sure we haven't too many or too few delegates, you'll send out all the joining instructions and anything they need to know before the event.

You'll be our representative at the event, ensuring that everything runs smoothly.

Maintaining Accurate Records.

You'll make sure that our records are all up to date and that we've collected all of the income in, and paid all of the invoices.

Reporting.

We always ask for feedback so we'll need you to provide us with a report of how our events have gone down with delegates, so we know whether to put them on again or not.
