In our busy office environment you must be able to work
effectively under pressure, adapt to change and demonstrate the ability to
prioritise and work autonomously.
You will need to have excellent
verbal and written communication skills in order to establish strong working
relationships with colleagues, junior doctors, medical professionals and other
NHS staff to provide support and advice to all students and Doctors in
Training, as well as producing high quality training programmes in conjunction
with the clinical teaching team.

Main duties of the job
The overall main duties of this
role is to provide administrative support to the Medical Education Team, to
support the delivery of a range of Medical Education programmes across CDDFT
and ultimately be the face of the Simulation Centre.
You will review processes within
the department and strive for improvement and the smooth running of its
services.
In addition, you will provide
admin support to ensure implementation of all courses running from the
Simulation Centre. This includes the general admin of organising the courses,
co-ordinating room bookings, admin of costings and collecting the data from the
courses and sessions.
You will also need to liaise with
multiple teams within the Trust, including The Cardiac Arrest Prevention Team,
Digital Specialist Nurses and all other users of the SIM Centre.
You will assist in Foundation
teaching Programmes and co-ordinate teaching timetables across the Trust. In
addition, you will plan and co-ordinate the arrangement for exams and collect
the appropriate feedback and data from this, whilst being the first point of
contact for medical students, doctors and other staff

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.
