Job summary

This vacancy provides an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to work in a busy appointments department and be part of the much larger department which is AHP Central Admin.

Applicants are invited for Admin Assistant/Receptionist to provide support to the Adult Allied Health Professionals Central Appointment Service delivering on appointment booking and referral management.

Main duties of the job

Duties will include call handling, booking appointments, producing patient related correspondence and provide an effective administration support service on a day-to-day basis to Adult AHP Clinical Therapy teams.

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.
