Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a Band 2 Booking Operative based at The Greenhouse, Greencroft Industrial Park to work within the Clinic Management Team, Patient Booking.
This is a 37.5 hour per week post Monday to Friday
We are looking for a self-motivating, enthusiastic person for the above post. You will be part of the Clinic Management Team in Patient Bookings and will be responsible for all aspects of cancelling and booking of out-patient appointments
You must have excellent organisational and communication skills and be pro-active within an integrated team to ensure all requirements are met in a timely, accurate manner.
Candidates must have the ability to work under pressure both individually and as part of the team. It is important to ensure that deadlines are achieved. A conscientious and flexible approach is essential along with the ability to work effectively within the team.
Candidates must be committed to ensuring patient satisfaction and have a sensitive manner when dealing with patients and staff members.

Main duties of the job
To re-allocate appointments from the Deferred Appointments Worklist.
To contact patients by telephone for short notice appointment cancellations.
To ensure that all appointments which require cancelling or amending are reallocated for patients
To rebook patients from cancelled clinics and inform patient either by telephone or letter, as appropriate.
To book review appointments requested via Proforma.
Ensure all Trust and departmental policies and procedures are adhered to to ensure standards are maintained in the department and all tasks carried out correctly and within the correct timescales.
Ensure all demographic information is collected and updated.
