Job summary
Due to an exciting investment in neonatal services within
County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust, an exciting opportunity has
arisen for an experienced children's nurse to work as a Band 7 Clinical
Educator in Neonates working across both sites at University Hospital North Durham and
Darlington Memorial Hospital.
We are looking for an
enthusiastic, dynamic experienced individual with extensive experience in
neonates to nurse to support the nursing team and the unit manager in taking the neonatal service
forward. The successful candidate will be supporting new ways of working,
delivering high standards of care whilst having the opportunity to expand their
knowledge and gain experience around management of staffing, budgets etc.
The post holder will need to show
good communication and teamwork skills while being able to work on their own
projects and developments. They must have excellent teaching and assessing
skills and be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of clinical development in
nursing practise.
Main duties of the job
To develop and deliver education plans , competency based
training programmes and support activities relating to clinical nurse
education, training and development, and multi professional team working.
Collect, evaluate and analyse
data, and make judgements on the clinical implications of the evidence and
writing relevant reports and presentations in order to initiate change and service
improvement.
