Ward 16 at Bishop Auckland Hospital has opportunities for
you to join our team as a Staff Nurse. Are you motivated and enthusiastic about
providing patients with a good standard of care whilst working alongside a
great team?
Ward 16 is a busy rehabilitation ward, caring for patients
who need rehabilitation post orthopaedic surgery and for those patients who
require a multidisciplinary approach to help them to recovery from
illness. We received the Trust Star
Award for Kindness and Compassion last Year and the ward regularly recieves
good feedback from patients and relatives.
As a team we strive to give the best care through our
multidisciplinary team approach, having Physiotherapists, Occupational
therapists and a medical team based on the ward. We are looking for Staff
Nurses that are good team players who have dedication and commitment to
delivering quality care. This would be
an ideal opportunity for both newly qualified and experienced nurses. You will become part of our friendly and
supportive team.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for assessments of care
needs, the development and implementation, and the evaluation of programmes of
care.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills both written and
verbal.
Be responsible for the delagation of tasks to other team
members.
Guide and supervise nursing support staff and junior members
of the team.
You will be working with commited nursing and
multi-disciplinary teams who will do their best to support your professional
and personal growth.
To work closely with the ward manager / department in
monitoring and maintaining standards of nursing care, staff and service
development within the ward environment.
Newly qualified nurses will be enrolled onto a perceptorship
programme.
The role does include 12 hour shifts with rotation of night
duty and day duty.
