Job summary

An exciting opportunity for a Digital Engagament Officer is available within the WBFL services. In summary you will be be proactive, innovative and autonomous in the continual development and updating of the Wellbeing Services websites, social media platforms and in the production of both internal and external communications, including internal and external quarterly newsletters. You will also apply the same high standards to the production of a monthly internal bulletin and demonstrate creativity, innovation and imagination in engaging with different target audiences.

Main duties of the job

The main dimesions of the role are

Responsible for the day to day planning and roll out of the digital engagement, communication and marketing plan.

To act independently and proactively to manage the digital workload in accordance with the service policies and procedures.

To act as a contact point for the team including managing social media and website comments and providing appropriate responses in relation to the digital communication and marketing plan.

To liaise with internal and external stakeholders for the purposes of digital engagement material and assets.

Job description

Job responsibilities

To direct the work of the digital engagement and marketing team and be responsible for team workload but not directly line manage them. (see organisational chart below).

To take on the role of moderation and production of content posted/uploaded to the various service websites and social media platforms e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube.

To operate efficient and up-to-date administrative systems for all office tasks.

Collating and reporting on statistics regarding engagement via social platforms necessary for the Senior Management Team.

To prioritise own workload to meet the needs of the team and ensure all deadlines are met.

To provide cover as required during absence of colleagues.

To produce, edit and co-ordinate the development of the quarterly internal newsletter.

To produce, edit and co-ordinate the development of the quarterly external newsletter.

To collect standardised information and produce a monthly bulletin of new members of staff and staff who have recently left.

To contribute creative and engaging ideas and solutions to tasks and highlight potential opportunities.

To develop, produce, compile and maintain a central repository for assets including photo libraries, videos and any other appropriate media and tools.

To monitor current trends in social media engagement, feeding back to the Digital Engagement Team (DET) ideas and suggestions on new ways of communicating and engaging with audiences.

Supporting the organization in the delivery of different engagement events.

Coordinating photo and filming opportunities.

Supporting all PR, engagement and communications activities.

To assist development and review of systems to provide assurance that the service is up to date and using best practice in relation to communications and client/ public engagement.

To offer advice and guidance to staff from the wider Wellbeing Services regarding communications and engagement activities.

Proof reading of materials to ensure the highest degree of accuracy, including occasional requirement for prolonged concentration, amendments of material received or seeking clarification from the assets source.

Be professional at all times when in contact and engaging with service users, peers and stakeholders regardless of platform or location.

To act as a “roving reporter” facilitating the gathering of material and assets required for the role.

Any other duties commensurate with band.
