Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for an established Diabetes
Specialist Nurse or an experienced nurse looking at exploring a career in
diabetes nursing.
We are seeking a caring and forward thinking nurse to
support the Diabetes Specialist Nurses. In the delivery of inpatient/outpatient
services.
You will be a valued member of a very friendly and
supportive multidisciplinary team who share a strong team ethic and strive to
maintain high standards of individualised patient care.
The successful applicants will be committed to our shared
team values, have demonstrable understanding of diabetes management and show
genuine enthusiasm and commitment to the speciality.
There are 2 WTE posts available. One post will
be to cover Darlington Memorial Hospital and the other post to cover both sites
(Darlington Memorial and University of North Durham).
Main duties of the job
Main duties of these roles will be
to deliver specialist care to patients with diabetes both in secondary and
primary care.
The post will involve mainly inpatient services
but the successful candidate with be also involved with antenatal, trransition
and insulin pump/cgm
