A unique opportunity has arisen at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for an experienced, dynamic person to join our department
We are looking for an experienced Specialist/Clinical Physiologist who is enthusiastic, organised and well-motivated with proven technical and communication skills and a zest for providing excellence. Applications are invited from experienced and newly qualified Clinical Physiologists who would be supported with further training and development.
You will work closely with the Clinical Service Manager, Consultant Neurophysiologists, and the Highly Specialist Clinical Physiologists to provide a high-quality service
The job is based at the Royal Preston Hospital but a need to work at other hospitals is a possibility.

Main duties of the job
You will be able to perform the full range of EEG investigations, andif applying for the Specialist Clinical Physiologist role, be capable of performing Evoked Potential investigationsas well as Nerve Conduction Studies for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Knowledge and experience of Intra-operative neuro monitoring would be advantageous but is not essential as training can be provided.

Undertake or assist unsupervised with a wide range of routine, specialist and advanced neurophysiological investigations on outpatients and in-patients to aid in clinical diagnosis. Investigations include sleep, ambulatory and portable EEG recording for both adults and paediatrics in ICU and the neonatal unit on and off site, MSLTs, MWTs, evoked potentials and nerve conduction studies and assist with intra-operative monitoring during spinal and craniotomy surgery.
