Job summary
- The post holder will be based at Royal Preston Hospital, although some sessions may have to be performed at Chorley depending on the needs of the trust.
- Appropriate travelling allowances will be paid.
- The departments of cardiology across both Preston and Chorley Hospital are closely integrated.

About us
The Department of Cardiology sits within the Division of Emergency and General Medicine. This consists of Acute Medicine, Cardiology, Respiratory, Diabetes and Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Dermatology, Stroke and Medicine for the Elderly. These units are very well developed, and there is a close link with a Tertiary Division of Renal Medicine and Neurology. Medical Assessment Units and Emergency Decisions Unit exist at both sites.

Essential
- Full GMC Registration and Licence to Practice
- MBBS or equivalent
Desirable
- Higher Medical Degree (MD or MSc)
Experience
Essential
- Wide experience in General Cardiology.
- Independent Operator -Diagnostic left and Right heart catheterisation.
- Independent Operator in Complex Device implantation
- Cardiology training with CCST or equivalent (appropriate training in tertiary centre in the subspeciality of interest- complex devices.
Desirable
- Subspecialty experience within Cardiology for Echocardiography
- Fully Independent in Brady Pacing including Permanent pacemaker and temporary pacing
