Sift pattern - 19:30 -07:30, including bank holidays and weekends.
Main duties of the job
In order to succeed you will have proven leadership skills and experience, highly effective and influential communication skills, the ability to challenge professionally and move things forward by engaging all of your colleagues.
You will be responsible for the overall running of the hospital sites over a 24 hour period forming the first point of escalation across the hospitals at all times in order to support patient flow and quality of care across the organisation.
You will act as a role model, presenting a positive image of self, team and organisation. You will also be required to develop good working relationships with staff at all levels across the organisation ensuring the effective utilisation of available bed-stock whilst ensuring that the clear principles outlined in the policies are adhered to in a manner that ensures consistency and improve the patient experience whilst meeting demands within the national standards.
You will rotate between day and night duty at Preston and Chorley in order to remain aware of all areas of operational management and flow, although flexible working would be considered. You will also work as an effective member of the multi-professional team to ensure that effective patient flow across the organisation is achieved.
