Job summary

Helping recruit for the NHS...what a role! You don't need you to have recruitment experience because we will teach you everything you need to know. We want someone with great customer service skills, dedicated, with great systems/IT skills and is resourceful. Sound like you?

We're not just a team in an office - we're an important part of our hospitals. Our patients rely on our teams and our teams rely on us to ensure we have the best candidates, in the right place, with the rights skills & attributes, safely recruited when they are needed. You'll directly help to influence this, working creatively to help us attract & recruit people to the organisation.

If you want to work in a fast paced environment where no two days are the same and where you can support an outstanding team to recruit candidates into a wide variety of roles across the whole hospital services then we are the team to join.

We are a department that prides itself on supporting and developing team members and enabling them to apply for recruitment and general human resources positions both with and external to the Trust.

We want to get out and chat with candidates as much as possible, so you'll help attend Jobs Fairs, career events, interview days - flying the flag for recruitment.

Even our offices are beautiful! We're at Preston Business Centre where we've lots of parking, beautiful grounds and lovely facilities for our teams including a breakout room with comfy modern seating.

Main duties of the job

We're so proud of our team, all working closely together to ensure the work we do is the best it can be. There's always a buzz in the air, with colleagues from all backgrounds ensuring that we have lots of different perspectives. We asked our team members what they wanted most out of work and they all said the same things - a supportive atmosphere doing a job that genuinely matters.....so thats what we are!

Understanding the candidate experience is such a key driver in this role, you'll help influence their experience & help us continually evolve.

Attention to detail and accuracy is also so important as your role will involve undertaking pre-employment checks, processing of specified staff forms forms, the provision of administrative support to the Registration Authority (RA) process as well as production of offers of employment letters, contracts and other general administrative duties. They will also be required to input and process information via the Trust recruitment system TRAC.

About us

So what can we offer you? Well as well as working for an award-winning organisation, you will join a very strong and dedicated team who work so hard together and have fun along the way.

It's a rewarding role though as our team members have told us. Getting to play your part in someone starting a new career or even their dream job gives us such a sense of pride.

Although mainly office based, this is not a traditional office role, it has a lot of variety, chance to come up with solutions to things to make them better, and chance to chat to different teams right across the organisation.

We know that the satisfaction of knowing you played your part in helping recruit new staff to ultimately look after our patients is what will drive you the most.

We'll help you develop your skills, give you opportunities to try new things and we actively encourage you to challenge us to constantly review what we do, our processes and approaches.

Follow us on Twitter to see the kinds of things we do @LancsHospJobs and @StefanieLTH

Its impossible to cram everything into an advert so really want you to get in touch and have a chat, please contact Sarah our Team Leader who would love to talk to you about the role: recruit@lthtr.nhs.uk

There's lots going on, it will be demanding & you'll need to be flexible in your approach to work as well as patient & empathetic to deal with anything that comes along.
