Job summary

If so, a vacancy has arisen for a Payroll Admin Support Clerk to join our team within Payroll and Pensions at ELFS Shared Services, Darwen.
The payroll department is busy and fast paced, where you will be able to bring your organisational, written and communication skills to assist the team in their duties.

Main duties of the job
You will provide high-quality routine clerical support to the department undertaking general clerical duties including printing, the correct distribution of payslips and P45 within the agreed timescales and scanning post for the department.
You will also be required to cover basic reception duties, delegating mail to the correct location, ensuring the distribution of post and generic reception duties.
Assistance to the service desk team is also part of this role, where you will be providing first line assistance to telephone enquiries from Client employees and allocation of emails.
You will need to be able to work independently ensuring all duties are undertaken in a timely manner, have excellent keyboard skills and strong customer service skills.

Our payroll department provides a comprehensive Payroll, Pensions, Expenses and Service desk to our clients. We are passionate about providing high quality services, staff development and growing our talent. The post is based at our Head Office in Darwen, just off Junction 4 of the M65. This role is office based, 5 days a week, however we operate a flexi time policy.
