We are looking for a person with excellent clerical skills and is a team player with a flexible approach to working. A good telephone manner is essential. You should be able to demonstrate good keyboard skills and have the ability to communicate effectively on any level.
You must also be able to demonstrate flexibility and use your own initiative to carry out duties in such a way as to make a direct and positive contribution to the organisation, thus enabling the team to utilise their time in an efficient and effective manner.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for providing a full secretarial and administrative support service to the Inquest and Mortality Team working to strict timescales. This will also include the collation, storage, preparation and distribution of a wide range of documentation in preparation for HM Coroner's Inquests. Therefore this role will require excellent organisational ability and communication skills.

- Be the point of contact for all day to day enquires, referring where necessary to more senior staff
- Coordinates the administration processes for inquests ensuring that all information and documentation relating to the inquest is recorded, updated, filed and available when required.
- Cases will be managed according to required timescales and deadlines
- Manages casenote availability, storage and preparation for Inquests.
- Communicates with a wide range of colleagues and external stakeholders using a variety of media to provide an efficient and sensitive service in support of the Case Management Team.
- Acts within the procedures of the Trust.
- Attends mandatory training.
- Complies with Information Governance and data protection policies at all times.
- Is responsible for the maintenance and ordering of all necessary office supplies and equipment.
