Job summary
We are looking to recruit an individual studying their professional qualification on a band 6 for a 12 month fixed-term post. The post holder will be a self-motivated Deputy Financial Advisor who can support all financial aspects of the Trust's Divisional finance responsibilities.
The role is designed to provide resilience to the rest of the Financial Advice function. Some of these will be trouble-shooting finance issues affecting the teams, supporting planning within a central capacity or with business cases or even providing a short-term back-stop for gaps within teams.
Main duties of the job
You will support the month end, budget and forecast processes, ensuring that figures are accurate and processes are robust. There will also be involvement in Business Cases, CIP schemes and service improvement works within Divisions. You may be required to support teams in presenting the financial position at Directorate meetings and to deputise for the Senior Financial Advisor at Clinical Business Unit and Divisional meetings.

The post holder will be a self-starter, able to work on their own and who will develop significant knowledge over many areas across the Trust's Divisional finance team.
The post requires exceptional communication skills with both finance and non-finance staff, coupled with a flexible approach to work and significant experience of costing complex services. The post holder will also be capable of working under pressure, prioritising to meet tight deadlines and multi-tasking. Strong ledger and IT skills are also a key requirement.
