We are looking to recruit a qualified Band 8a to provide support to our current Corporate and Estates Division. The post holder will be a self-motivated Senior Financial Advisor who can support all financial aspects of the Trust's Divisional finance responsibilities. The post holder will be a CCAB or CIMA member or finalist and be able to demonstrate professional credibility within their field.

Main duties of the job

The role is responsible for providing support and assistance to the Head of Financial Advice in the delivery of a financial advisory service to the Corporate and Estates Divisions and to deputise for them where necessary.

You will drive the month end, budget and forecast processes, ensuring that figures are accurate and processes are robust. There will also be involvement in Business Cases, Efficiency/CIP schemes and working with the Division on their Service Line Reporting position.

They will present the financial position at Directorate meetings and lead on provision of the financial advice service to the division, ensuring that it manages its resources within budget and strives to improve financial performance whilst delivering a qualitative service.

Responsibilities include investigating & advising on highly complex business management issues to improve financial awareness, performance, and to ensure the efficiency, effectiveness, integrity and business focus of the Division.

You will be responsible for the management and performance of a Divisional Financial Advice Team to support the divisions.

You will have exceptional communication skills with both finance and non-finance staff, coupled with a flexible approach to work and significant experience of costing complex services. You will also be capable of working under pressure, prioritising to meet tight deadlines and multi-tasking. Strong IT skills are also a key requirement.
