Main duties of the job

We are looking for someone to join us who is keen to learn both the clinical and administrative tasks needed to support our Paediatric Audiology Service. As an assistant technical officer , you will be an organised team player who cares about delivering a high quality service.You must have grade C or above in GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) and have a good working knowledge of Microsoft applications. An enjoyment of working with children is essential but training will be given on all aspects of the post where required. You will provide support on clinics assisting the clinicians in testing the hearing of babies, children and young adults, playing a key role in the hearing aid repair service. You will have responsibility with procurement processes and support a variety of other administrative duties, including audit work.

We are looking for someone who has good prioritization and time keeping skills, who is flexible, enjoys a varied role and has lots of energy!

About us

Currently we are a small, friendly and busy multidisciplinary team dedicated to helping babies, children and young adults with hearing needs.

However, the Paediatric Audiology Service is an expanding and developing service . Our Audiological Consultant is at the forefront of research ensuring that our service has a high profile and our skill set remains high.

Situated in north Preston, the department is easily accessible from the motorway network and our Fulwood clinic base presents no parking difficulties.
