Job summary

Do you want to work as part of a creative, collaborative and forward thinking team, where all ideas are welcomed? Then come and join us! We are looking for an experienced e-learning developer to join us, playing a pivotal role in supporting the continued expansion of the online learning agenda within the Trust. Online learning has evolved significantly within the Trust over the last couple of years with the appetite to further enhance our e-learning portfolio going from strength to strength so you will be busy.

Each week will be different, you will need to be able to manage multiple work projects simultaneously whilst being able to quickly switch from designing a learning module to answering a call from a staff member who might need support to access the e-learning site. You will need to be comfortable with a bit of ambiguity and also able to work autonomously.

Main duties of the job

Reporting to the Blended Learning Manager, your role will primarily be focused on the design, development, implementation and evaluation of innovative online learning solutions, incorporating Interviewer information pack multimedia and mobile technologies as part of a blended approach. You will work closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues across the Trust to help guide and shape their ideas into high quality online learning content. You will also be expected to support the administration and further development of the Trusts online learning management system.

Ideally you will possess a qualification in e-Learning design as well as having practical experience of applying those principles in order to develop creative learning proposals or solutions - an understanding of Adult Learning would also be beneficial. You will be able to communicate effectively with staff at all levels and act as an expert resource in supporting staff to access or design content.

About us

If you think you have got the full package and want to work in a dynamic, sociable and forward thinking team then we would love to hear from you!

As part of the selection process for this post all shortlisted applicants will be asked to provide a portfolio of work and prepare a piece of work which they will be asked to deliver at the start of the interview, this will be shared when successfully shortlisted candidates are invited to interview.
