Job summary
To provide accurate and timely monthly monitoring information in respect of expenditure against the Trust's capital programme. To support maintain the Trusts Fixed Asset Register.
To assist in various aspects of Charitable Fund accounting including, the bank reconciliation, reconciliation of charitable funds expenditure and Charitable Funds reporting.
To cover for the AR, AP and TA Team leaders when required.

An exciting secondment opportunity has arisen for a motivated and numerate individual to work as a Capital Accounts & Charitable Funds Team Leader within the Financial Accounts Team.
The successful applicant will assist the Capital Accountant in various aspects of Capital and Charitable Funds Accounting which include Capital monitoring, maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register, Fixed Asset and Lease Accounting.
The role will also encompass working on Charitable funds and the duties include, Reconciliation of the Charitable Funds cashbook, assisting with Charitable Funds reporting and reconciliation of Charitable funds expenditure to the general ledger.
The post holder will provide cover for the AR, AP and TA Team leaders when required.

Capital Monitoring
- To monitor expenditure against the Trusts agreed capital programme.
- To provide detailed expenditure information to the Capital Working & Investment Groups on a monthly basis.
- To ensure that VAT is correctly accounted for on all capital schemes.
- To review on a monthly basis all revenue expenditure over £5k to assess whether the expenditure should be capitalised.
Fixed Asset Register
- To support in the maintenance of the Trusts Fixed Asset Register (Integra) in accordance with the current capital accounting guidance and with other statutory and internal reporting requirements.
- To support in ensuring that all fixed asset transactions are recorded in an accurate and timely manner including additions, disposals, depreciation, revaluations, and impairments.
Fixed Asset Accounting
- To support in ensuring that all accounting entries relating to fixed assets are recorded accurately within the general ledger.
Lease Register & Accounting
- To support in the maintenance of the Trusts register of leases in accordance with the requirements of IFRS 16.
- Code and record rental invoices within the IFRS16 working papers.
Charitable Funds Accounting
- To reconcile the Charitable Funds Cashbook to the general ledger and bank statement monthly.
- To reconcile to Charitable Funds expenditure to the general ledger monthly.
- To support in the reporting of Charitable Funds.
