Health and Safety Advisor - Ligature Programme

Job summary

The post holder will work as part of the Trust's Health, Safety and Security Management team, providing advice and support to the team and to managers and staff across the organisation in order to assist them in fulfilling their statutory duties relating to health, safety and operational management of ligatures in healthcare premises.

Main duties of the job

With a focus on the inpatient ligature risk assessment process and programme, the post holder will be coordinating and undertaking site inspections, participating in the audit process, and working with wards and other relevant departments to deliver effective plans for the reduction of risk and environmental improvements.

In addition to this, the post holder will be expected to influence, develop, and participate in any staff training, policy development or any associated business as required within the wider Health and Safety portfolio including line management responsibilities for relevant staff.

The post holder will also support the preparation of information and documentation for meetings, liaising with other professionals/teams and providing update reports and action plans as required.
