An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Administration Team at GMMH within AFS Edenfield Unit in a role of Ward Administrator based in a fast paced medium and low secure mental health facility.
Your duties will include supporting patients and their relatives on the Ward as well as providing a comprehensive administrative support to the multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, support workers and other professionals involved in patient care.
The Edenfield Unit is a medium secure inpatient unit providing support to both male and female patients. We welcome applications from people with admin experience who are comfortable working in a fast paced, varied work environment.
You will be based on a ward and have a close working relationship with the Ward Manager, Ward Staff and other Ward Administrators to ensure the smooth running of the ward. There is a large element of dealing with patient and activity monies within this role and therefore we would welcome applicants with some experience of handling money.
Full training will be provided for all successful applicants.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide an efficient and professional service ensuring quality service to all users, their families and professionals contacting the Ward. The post holder will also be required to cover other wards within AFS Edenfield and its peripheral ward areas, to provide support during absence of other administrators.
The ideal candidate will have a flexible approach in providing administration support to the multi-disciplinary teams. There will be client and carer telephone contact and also, face-to-face contact on daily basis therefore, good communication skills are essential.
