Job summary

Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint a Document Control Officer to provide co-ordination, administration and guidance across the organisation. The post holder will promote and apply frameworks, systems andprocesses to ensure document control activity that will withstand regulatory scrutiny, ensure compliance monitoring and reporting with effective remedial actions implemented where required.

This role will provide the successful candidate with an opportunity to be part of a high performing clinical standards function across a multiple site organisation that is part of and supported by a forward looking and ambitious Clinical Governance Directorate.

Main duties of the job

  • Co-ordinate and apply organisation wide document control processes to ensure compliance and the application of robust governance.
  • Liaise with document authors/subject matter experts to guide themthrough document management process and signpost to relevant keystaff/departments for further.
  • Ensure robust version control of draft and published documents.
  • Maintain a clear audit trail of decommissioned and merged documents for future scrutiny purposes.
  • Screen documents for compliance with document control procedure andfeedback to authors areas for action.
  • Maintain a robust document control archive.
  • Liaise with wider Clinical Standards Team to obtain updates on the latestdocument modifications required in organisational documents and thenadvising and following up authors until updates/amendments are made, approved and published
