Job summary

Do you have experience in a primary care setting managing health services? Have you worked in a GP practice with different health professionals? The Health and Justice division is pleased to share an exciting opportunity to work as a Service Manager managing HMP Manchester. This unique community provides the same healthcare provision you would find outside of the prison, it will be your role to lead and operationally manage the delivery of physical health and social care services. You will be a significant part of the multi-disciplinary senior leadership team and will work alongside our corporate colleagues. It is essential that you work collaboratively with prison colleagues to ensure seamless care delivery and clear leadership within the prison healthcare setting.

You will have a range of responsibilities including deputising for the Head of Operations, contributing to the management of change in service provision, supporting service re-design and directly influencing future service provision.

The Health and Justice division within GMMH has a substantial portfolio of both health and social care and mental health services within custodial settings. The division is a fast-paced and innovative environment.

You must have been resident in the county for a minimum of 2 years and be able to undertake prison clearance and counter terrorism clearance.

The role may require you to work flexibly across other sites if needed.
