Job summary

Based at Prestwich Hospital, at our purpose built and newly renovated children's services.

We have 3 wards based at Junction 17 and The Gardener Unit which comprise of A Male Adolescent Forensic Service, and 2 CAMHS General Acute Units (GAU) .

We are passionate about our staff and the care which we provide to our young people.

Development and training opportunities are available within our service.

We welcome preceptorship nurses and provide additional and bespoke support during the preceptorship period to enable you to develop the required skills, knowledge and competencies needed to succeed and feel confident in the role as Nurse in Charge and Primary Nurse on a ward.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will have previous experience as a ward based team leader and have experience in working with complex client groups.The post holder will carry continuous responsibility for the management of the Ward setting which includes: the assessment, development and implementation and evaluation of care programmes and the development of standards of care. The line management and development of junior staff and providing the highest quality of care within the allocated budget.The post holder will work in a professional collaborative manner with the Multi-Disciplinary Team acknowledging the unique contribution of each member to enable service users to move forward through the care pathways within the service.
