Job summary

As a Recruitment Assistant you will support the Recruitment Team to ensure a great experience for all new starters to Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust.

You will respond to queries from candidates and managers over the telephone, via email and via the TRAC recruitment system, and you will be supported to resolve more complicated queries by a team of Recruitment Administrators.

Once fully trained, you will also conduct face-to-face identity and document checks for new recruits from our site in Prestwich.

This role provides a great opportunity to learn more about recruitment within the NHS, as well as to develop general admin and clerical skills.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of this role are:

  • General office administration,
  • Responding to telephone calls, emails and messages,
  • Maintaining electronic records, including via TRAC recruitment system and the OHIO occupational health system,
  • Conducting face-to-face identity and document checks, once trained.

It involves verbal and written communication with candidates, employees and managers as well as the need for accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and record keeping.

  • RSA level 2, NVQ level 2 or the equivalent experience. Educated to GCSE level for English and Maths.

Experience
