Job summary

We have exciting opportunities for enthusiastic qualified Mental Health Nurses with a passion for working with Older Adults.

You would be joining a well established team, with a small number of current vacancies.

We would also welcome applications from students that are currently studying towards their qualification

Woodlands Hospital is an Older Adults Mental health In-patient Unit within Greater Manchester Mental Health Foundation Trust, based in Little Hulton in the Salford division.

There are 3 wards with a total of 50 inpatient beds. We care for older adults with functional mental health needs and people of various ages with an organic diagnosis.

We are looking for nurses who are warm, caring & passionate about improving the quality of care for this client group. In return we will make your work a rewarding & fulfilling experience.

We are holding a recruitment event onSaturday 9th Marchat Woodlands, interviews will take place on the day.

Main duties of the job

The Unit liaises with Bolton & Salford CMHT plus very experienced & enthusiastic Consultant Psychiatrists. The unit has other professionals on site & in post including: OTs, Speech & Language, Physiotherapists, RGNs working within the physical health team, Dietitians, Psychology plus an admission & discharge coordinator.

We offer experience & learning to student nurse plus medical staff at various stages of development.

Qualified nurses who want to work within a close knit & nurturing team whilst continuing to develop their practices are encouraged to consider application.
