Job summary

A Dementia Advisor will provide a clients and families with a tailored information about their recent diagnosis of dementia. The Dementia Advisor will be there to support your to understand the key information around the diagnosis of dementia and what it means for those individuals who are newly diagnosed and their families.

Main duties of the job

The Dementia Advisor will support those with a new diagnosis of dementia , this includes advising on:

what the diagnosis means

what support is available in the the local community

planning for the future

legal and welfare information

living well

support with accessing appropriate services

an individual information service that supports you and those who support and care for the client

signpost to relevant research projects
