Job summary

We are seeking to recruit 2 clinical psychologist or equivalent psychological therapists to our Bolton Community Mental Health Teams for 30 hours per week (0.8 wte). The posts will be offered either at a band 8a or as a band 7 preceptor moving to 8a when able complete evidence of competency development.

Applicants should have suitable experience of working in secondary care mental health services and a desire to work with individuals and teams to support trauma informed care. The post holder will be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, positive professional values and clinical experience.

Our CMHT's are well established multi-disciplinary teams who arefriendly and compassionate, with a strong shared framework, values, purpose and direction.

There is currently a key focus upon supporting the trust wide Community Transformation Programme, which aims to develop skills within wider community staff and increasing the offer of psychological interventions to those with severe mental health problems. We are highly invested and passionate about trauma informed care and a wide range of therapeutic modalities including CAT, EMDR, Internal Family Systems therapy, MBT, SCM, DBT and CFT. This service focuses on the nurturing and growth of both staff and service users.

Main duties of the job

The post will involve a balance proportion of direct and indirect working. This will involve providing face to face assessments and interventions to individuals who present with severe mental health problems. Indirect aspects of the role involve promoting formulation led care in multi-disciplinary team meetings, consultation, supervision and teaching.

The post holder will be required to use a range of psychological theory, research and evidence to support the delivery of care within CMHTs. See further details in the job description and person specification documentation attached.
