Job summary

We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Practitioner with a recognised postgraduate qualification from a CYP-IAPT Training course or recognised Core profession in Child Mental Health. The successful candidate must have extensive relevant clinical experience.

The specific role is to act as a Senior Tutor/Lecturer and Unit lead for the Child and Young Person's Wellbeing Practitioner (CYWP) training programme based at the Psychological Therapy Training Centre (PTTC). The course will be moving from Certificate to Diploma level in the next year and the successful candidate will be expected to play a key role in this development.

The GMMH Psychological Therapies Training Centre (formerly CBT Training Centre) is renowned for providing extremely high quality training to students in CBT and other evidence-based psychological therapies across the North West region and beyond. We have been delivering postgraduate clinical skills training across a number of psychological therapy modalities for the last twenty years.

Main duties of the job

To undertake Unit Lead responsibilities: taking the lead in a discrete area of course delivery and development. To provide specialist teaching, tutorials and other support for trainees undertaking the CYWP postgraduate training programme. To assist in the delivery, development and evaluation of the CYWP training programmes.

Liaising with programme lead, programme administrator, service supervisors / other tutors, other administrative staff of the Psychological Therapies Training Centre, other programme leads, trainees participating in the programme and their managers as appropriate.

The CYWP Training programme delivers high quality training on a national curriculum of evidence based Low Intensity Psychological Therapies . It is part of the Government's response to create significant additional capacity in children's mental health provision.
